Well there’s a lovely home at the corner of King St and Malaga St in St. Augustine, FL that has been vacant for as long as I can remember that I have always longed to live in. It has a two car garage (not common in the downtown area), bay windows on the first and second floor, and it possesses that great ancient/vintage look that so much of downtown St. Augustine does. It has enough space to be roomy without being too burdensome to fill or clean, and you can’t beat the location. Downtown is always great for a walk or bike ride, day or night, especially in the winter during the Nights of Lights when the whole of the historic district is lit with white lights. Trees, businesses, the bridge, everywhere. It’s fantastic and if I owned that home, I would never have to pay to park to go to an event. Ah… the only thing missing there is the privacy fence and magnolia tree. Oh and the pool, but at least the beach is close by.
