My deepest apologies! It just now occurred to me that I missed doing the Worship post yesterday.
Last night at prayer meeting, our pastor specially picked a song for us to hear and to absorb while we are all believing for things in prayer, some of them great needs. He has been providing a lot of encouragement and support for us all, even though he and his family are under as much pressure as any of the rest of the congregation. I want to share this song with you as a faith-booster along with a verse that was in a Jentezen Franklin book titled The Fasting Edge that really touched my heart the other day.
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.” –Daniel 10:12
One note about the video: there were several with images and a live version, but they all seemed to detract from the song for the purposes of this blog. So, please bear with the fact that it’s just the album cover. So here is Embrace by Jake Hamilton.
Wanna feel your embrace Wanna feel your arms around me Wanna feel your heart beating Next to mine And it’s telling me:
It’s all gonna be okay It’s all gonna be okay It’s all gonna be okay It’s all gonna be okay
Wanna see your face Wanna see who I can be Wanna see who I can see In the mirror of your eyes And you’re telling me:
For I know if your eye is on the sparrow Then your heart is on me Yes I know, if your eye is on the sparrow Then your heart is on me
Praise the Lord, oh my soul All that is in me, praise his name
And I don’t wanna wait to go to heaven when I die I’m gonna go right now I’m gonna go right now And I don’t have to wait to go to heaven when I die I’m gonna go right now I’m gonna go right now ‘Cause this is the sound of Heaven invading earth Oh this is the sound This is the sound of heaven invading earth
